Never before has a card game been packed with as much thrill , uncertainty , excitement and pure joy as HYDRA !
Every round of the game is different. The teams are reshuffled in every round and it is rarely clear who your real team members are.
Betrayal, ambush and intrigue are just some of the constant companions in the magical world of HYDRA .
Inspired by legendary games like TICHU and its little brother CHIMERA , we managed to combine the tried and tested with the new and thus create a completely new gaming experience.
HYDRA is a card game for 2-6 players , but the basic concept is designed for 4 players . In this game the order determines who attacks and who defends . As an attacker, you take on the role of the Hydra and try to carry out your attacks successfully and bring home your points (stakes) . You do this by getting rid of your hand cards before anyone else. The remaining players try to prevent this or “ secretly ” support the attacker.
But the whole thing comes with a twist in two ways ! On the one hand, each player plays for HIMSELF , but at the same time is always part of one of two teams . On the other hand, there are the ever-changing teams that are determined by the COMPANION CARD and can also change during the game. Phew! Are you still keeping track of who your real team members are, or are you just being betrayed?!
